Paul Cosgrove

Paul joined Assurant in 1995 and has held a variety of positions of increasing leadership responsibility including positions in Claims and Marketing.  Paul was the Head of Business Development from 2005 to 2010 and moved into the position of Vice President, Business Development and Client Management from 2010 to 2019. In this role, Paul was responsible for the growth of the Canadian portfolio through the addition of key strategic products and services, the development of new partner relationships, product development and direct marketing.  Paul assumed full responsibility for Assurant’s Canadian Business in 2020.

In his current role, Paul is President of Assurant Services Canada Inc., and Chief Agent in Canada for both the American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida and the American Bankers Life Assurance Company of Florida.

He is very active in the insurance industry and joined the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Financial Institutions in Insurance (CAFII) in June 2018. He was appointed as the Vice-Chair of the CAFII Board in October 2023.

Paul started his insurance career with Confederation Life, serving in a variety of roles including Claims, Marketing and Human Resources.

He resides with his family in Toronto, Ontario.
