Mario Silvestre

Mario joined Assurant in 2026 as Assistant Vice President, Canada Operations, bringing 30 years of operations leadership experience. His deep expertise includes claims adjudication, claims risk and reserves, fraud risk management, analytics and technology, data analytics, vendor management, and operations transformation.

Prior to joining Assurant, Mario served as Head of Claims & Transformation at Allianz Global Assistance, where he led travel claims operations and drove meaningful improvements in operational effectiveness, with a clear focus on quality, productivity, and service outcomes. Earlier in his career, Mario was with CANATICS (the Canadian National Insurance Crime Services), where he led fraud risk mitigation capabilities and collaborated with technology partners to develop and deploy fraud analytics solutions in the P&C market.

Mario resides in Oakville, Ontario, with his family.
