Sean Cheddi is the Head of Growth and Strategy for Assurant in Canada. In this role, Sean leads Business Development, Product Sales Strategy, and Field Support within the mobile market. He executes Assurant’s Connected Living business strategy in Canada by leading the strategic growth of business and support offerings. While in this role, his key successes have been expanding Assurant's partnerships to several key clients to assist them with delivering solutions and enhanced customer experiences to their customers. Sean has extensive experience partnering with big name Mobile OEM’s, Mobile Network Operators and Retail Partners.Before joining Assurant, Sean spent 10 years driving strategic business partnerships and leading multi-faceted sales teams to exceed revenue targets in the telecommunications industry within the OEM sector. He introduced the Sony Xperia Smartphone brand to Canada with its successful launch across seven Canadian mobile carriers. He also led the commercial negotiations with the network operators, directly managing the product roadmap, sell-in and end-to-end device lifecycle on several flagship products.In his spare time, Sean enjoys travelling and collecting wine from his favourite wine region, Rioja, Spain. His other interests include astronomy, human space travel, technology and world politics. Sean volunteers with Holiday Helpers to deliver holiday packages to families in need Each year, he provides meals to the homeless around Toronto through the assistance of sponsorships from various restaurant groups.Sean earned an Honors B.A. in Political Science & International Political Economy at the University of Toronto, and a Certificate in Marketing at Seneca College.
