Unclaimed Property

Unclaimed property are funds held by Assurant* issued to a customer or beneficiary that has not been deposited by the individual. When left undeposited, these funds become ‘unclaimed’ and go through an internal process to attempt to reconnect the individual with their unclaimed property. Examples of unclaimed property may include claim/service request payments, or premium refunds.

Assurant will attempt to reconnect customers with their unclaimed property, however, changes in address or contact information can hinder our ability to do so. If you believe that you are the owner of unclaimed property held by Assurant, you can initiate a search by emailing us at [email protected]. There is no charge to search for or have unclaimed property re-issued.

We take privacy of our customers seriously and are committed to protecting and safeguarding your personal information.
