NEW YORK, June 25, 2019 — Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), a leading global provider of housing and lifestyle solutions that support, protect and connect major consumer purchases, today announced the appointment of Jay Rosenblum to the role of senior vice president, Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs. He will be based in Washington, D.C. and report directly to Carey Roberts, executive vice president, chief legal officer and secretary.
In this position, Rosenblum will lead a team responsible for developing and advancing Assurant’s global government relations and regulatory affairs strategy. Working closely with business leaders, he will establish engagement priorities, build partnerships with external stakeholders and advocate for the company’s policy and regulatory positions.

Rosenblum joins Assurant from Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, where he led Government Affairs and, most recently, was Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to Guardian Life, Rosenblum was senior vice president of Government Affairs & associate general counsel at The Hartford Financial Services Group. He began his career in government, holding positions in the U.S. Department of Labor and The White House.
Rosenblum received his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and his law degree from the George Washington University Law School.
