The demand for automotive employees with high-tech skills is great and it’s growing every day.

Dealerships experience this first-hand. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates a projected shortage of 370,000 auto service technicians through the year 2026.

At Assurant, we recognize this shortage and are standing united with fellow leaders in the industry to bring awareness and resources to the automotive field. Through the Assurant Foundation, we are supporting the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Foundation Workforce Initiative that’s committed to developing the next generation of auto professionals.

Assurant Cares HORIZ COLOR About the Assurant Foundation

Giving back in the communities where we live and work is a way of life at Assurant. Through the Assurant Foundation we strengthen communities by supporting charitable partners that help protect where people live and can thrive, connect with local resources, inspire inclusion and prepare leaders of the future.

On numerous occasions, the Assurant Foundation and Assurant Resource Automotive have teamed up to partner with dealers to support local community initiatives to strengthen communities and directly touch the lives of local customers.

We are proud to work with the Resource Automotive Group once again as we sponsor the NADA Foundation whose mission is to ensure a strong workforce of automotive and truck retail professionals. The NADA Foundation connects people to on-the-job training, helps dealership families after natural disasters and more. In 2019, the NADA Foundation launched a new Workforce Initiative to promote the benefits of technician careers with marketing materials for dealerships and outreach to future and prospective workers.
